What are the prevention and treatment misunderstandings that should be avoided under the New Zealand Covid-19 pandemic?

The current trend of the Covid-19 pandemic in New Zealand is inevitable, and once infected with the virus, the first option is home isolation. In order to prevent the patients from taking improper preventive and self-treatment measures during the time, which may lead to the deterioration of the condition, I will specifically point out some main misunderstandings in prevention and treatment for your reference.
It needs to be specifically stated that most of these views come from my review of the treatment experience of ancient Chinese medicine sages from the Ming and Qing Dynasties(the 1400s) to the 1980s. Many lessons came from the result of countless lives in the wrong treatment of the disease. So, maybe some views are inconsistent with the mainstream views that everyone sees. But these views have been tested in the long course of history. So, everyone can judge for themselves.
Herbal formulas that should be forbidden to use: Guizhi Decoction, Mahuang Decoction, Gegen Decoction, Qinglong Decoction, Huoxiang Zhengqi Powder, and other medicines that have a sweating effect( with pungent and warm herbs).
Use western medicine with caution: all kinds of cold-releasing medicines and pain relievers with sweating effect. I see from the news that some doctors are giving paracetamol to patients. I am afraid that this is ineffective against the Covid-19 and will have side effects due to its sweating effect.
Prohibited use of foods: cinnamon, dried ginger, etc. Do not use ginger soup for sweating.
Other therapies prohibited: moxibustion, soaking feet and sweating.
Foods that are forbidden to eat once symptoms of Covid-like appear: lamb, chicken, various fried and spicy foods, cheese and other non-digestible foods. The Covid-19 belongs to a heat evil/toxicity in TCM view, so food with pungent and hot properties should not be given to the body.
If fever occurs, do not apply a large amount of ice to cool down. Especially for children.
In addition, once patients become ill, they have to be isolated at home and they are only eligible to go to the hospital until their condition worsens. In fact, the golden period of early treatment has been delayed, which is a pity. From the perspective of TCM Febrile Disease theory, the easiest and best stage to treat is when the symptoms just appear in Wei level(starting level) such as sore throat, mild cough. Therefore, we believe that it is very important to grasp the first two days of the onset of the symptoms and start treatment!
In addition, I do not recommend that patients use any preventive herbal prescriptions. On the one hand, the authenticity of many preventive prescriptions is difficult to distinguish. On the other hand, the preventive prescription can help only when it improves energy level by correcting the individual’s current health issues, which are different from each other. I think the general preventive prescription is less effective when the virus has a strong ability to spread.
Finally, I suggest that if you are a Chinese medicine enthusiast, you can prepare a few cupping devices, scrapers and even blood sampling needles at home. When used properly, it can achieve good results.
